Bradford on Avon Rowing Club

Tuke Manton have been appointed to help develop a brief and outline proposals for Bradford on Avon Rowing Club’s new boathouse. The site lies to the South of Bradford on Avon adjacent to the river Avon. Any new building will need to sit comfortably alongside the listed grade II * Barton Farm complex.
St. Georges Church of England Foundation School

Tuke Manton were invited to a limited competition for the new ‘all through school’ concept at St.Georges Church of England Foundation school in Broadstairs and are pleased to anounce their success and appointment to develop the project for submission of a planning application and on to construction on site.
26 Lower Marsh Apartments

Tuke Manton Architects were appointed to advise on and prepare scheme proposals for refurbishment and redevelopment for 26 Lower Marsh, London SE1. The new building started on site in April 2012 with a build contract of 12 months.
Notre Dame School Performing Arts Centre

The Performing Arts Centre for Notre Dame School is now complete. In the development of the new theatre we have worked closely with the staff, end users and design team to create a building used for drama well into the 21st Century. Now that the building is complete we wish the school every success in the development of the drama curriculum.

Conservation and Environment Award

Worthing Rowing Club

Notre Dame School Performing Arts Centre

Notre Dame Performing Arts Centre started on site in March 2010 and is proceeding at a pace. The foundations and drainage are complete with the external walls gradually encasing the steel frame. The project is due for completion in June 2011.

The vision for the proposal seeks to set an example for an infill development that not only contributes to the streetscape, but is more compatible with the neighbourhood and also provides a better, safer environment for families.

Wentworth ICT Suite Extension

The extension to Wentworth Primary School started in January 2010, with completion expected in June 2010. The foundations, ground floor and drainage have been completed despite the recent bad weather conditions.
Gonville and Caius College Boat House

Deepdene Care Specialist Unit

Following the successful planning approval in November 2009, refurbishment works have commenced at the specialist care unit at Stanthorpe Road in Streatham for Deepdene Care.
Mint House completed

Mint House was completed on site at the end of July 2009. E R Armfield finished the building to a good standard to the appreciation of the client team and the Primary Care Trust. The building will be operational from September 2009.
Oxford Architects joint venture

Notre Dame Performing Arts Centre

Tuke Manton architects have been commissioned by Notre Dame School to develop a new performing arts centre. The site is located at Burwood House, Convent Lane, Cobham, Surrey KT11 1HA. The School has a 400 year old tradition and expertise in educating girls, and has been established in Cobham for 70 years. The School educates 760 children from primary school to Senior School.
Wentworth ICT Suite Extension

Tuke Manton Architects have been commissioned by Wentworth Primary School to develop a new extension for an ICT suite following the successful completion of the new conference suite in 2007. We have completed the initial design phase and submitted a planning application in April 2009.
Brewerstreet completed

The Brewerstreet Dairy unit is now completed. Our proposals were to refurbish an existing industrial shed into a new specialist veterinary unit, linked to an adjacent office building.
Brewerstreet starts on site

Brewerstreet starts on site with an anticipated completion of November 2008. Our clients have identified this building and the adjacent office as being suitable to serve as a new centre for their specialist veterinary surgery. The business currently shares space with a GP veterinary service at the Village Animal Hospital, Guards Avenue, Coulsdon Road, Caterham, Surrey CR3 5ZD.
The specialist service has proved so successful that the current space is proving restrictive for the practice’s development and expansion.
However, whilst the existing industrial unit is unlikely to present a public face, the veterinary service requires members of the public and their cats and dogs to visit the unit. Therefore, as part of the proposed change of use we are proposing amendments to the existing façade to reflect the nature of the business inside.
Mint House, Wallington

Tuke Manton Architects have been appointed by E R Armfield to develop the working drawing package following their successful Design and Build Tender for the first phase of the Shotfield clinic re-development.
Mint House occupies a central location in the town of Wallington in Surrey. Mint House will be extended at the side and at roof level to create space for the decanting of medical facilities which fully comply with the Department of Health’s Primary & Social Care Premises Planning and Design Guidelines. Following completion the demolition of the Shotfield Centre will commence and the construction of a new clinic will get underway. The new facility will be in use for 2 years during the construction of the new clinic.
The existing second floor is to be refurbished with a new third and fourth floors added. A new extension creates a dedicated entrance in to the temporary clinic. The weight on the existing foundations has been considered carefully and all the new construction is as light weight as possible. The new facility provides GP consulting rooms, support spaces and treatment rooms.
Wood Lane, Chippenham

The development of Wood Lane, Chippenham commenced on site this month for West Lea Housing Association. Completion is expected in May 2009.
The proposal is for a supportive housing scheme providing fifteen licensed bedrooms with associated staff and support facilities and training suites. There is to be twenty four hour staff cover on the project. There are also six move-on flats for the tenants to move on to and receive a lower level of housing support before moving onto independent accommodation in the District.
Look Ahead Five-a-Side Football

Tuke Manton are pleased to sponsor the Annual Football Tournament organised by Look Ahead Housing & Care. The tournament took place on Thursday 2nd August 2007. Teams are organised from various Look Ahead support schemes and we sponsor the Rainforest Walk Development team. The scheme was completed in 2004 and is for vulnerable, single young people.
Unfortunately, our team did not fare well on the day but a good time was had by all.
The Cube completed for E R Armfield

The design for the Cube had received planning permission when we were appointed as the Architect for E R Armfield, the design and build contractor. We were responsible for the production of construction drawings and obtaining Building Control approval.
Wentworth Primary School extension completed

The extension to Wentworth primary school is now completed. Our brief was to create an extension to form a new conference room and an office suite. The complex is designed to be let out for community use outside school hours.
Tuke Manton picnic

The TMA summer day out was again a popular event. We had arranged a picnic in Polesden Lacey, and everybody contributed with a national dish. After the meal we completed the round trip, enjoying some spectacular views across the country side, including the new Wembley stadium.
We are all looking forward to our next event!
Lakeside Mental Health Unit Reception refurbishment

The practice has recently completed a project to refurbish and improve the security of the Lakeside medium-secure Mental Health Unit reception facility. The brief was to create a secure reception area serving two wards (T-block and O-block), the Lakeside Unit itself, and outpatients visiting the Psychiatry and Psychology departments.
